Attention Model Railroaders!
The West River Railroad Museum and The Historical Society of Windham County now has the HO Scale model kit of the Newfane Station for sale. The Newfane Station was one of 10 stations on the West River Line and is now home to the West River Railroad Museum.
The kit was made by well-known Bill Banta (Banta Modelworks) of Dummerston, VT. Here’s his official description:
A very nice shortline depot, still in existence located close to our shop.. The kit is composed of a laser cut MDF core overlaid with scribed siding. Though the original had clapboard, the scribed siding looks so good you can hardly tell the difference. It also allow us to use a thinner material which looks more prototypical. It looks really nice as you can see in the photos… Easy to build, easy to paint and finish…A very enjoyable kit. The O scale version will be along later this year!……. Questions or Comments? email or call…Footprint is 7 7/8″” wide by 3 5/8″ deep over the platform…” deep
Price is just $68.00 plus $7.00 postage and handling.
